Mother Design An Instagram-based campaign calling out the hypocrisy of politicians and celebrities who exploit or undermine the trans community while benefiting from its culture and visibility.

2025 A concept developed for a client, where every element was hand-cut, scanned, and digitally distorted to amplify the impact. Handwritten type and paper textures run throughout, giving the work a crafted, tactile quality.

Mother Design To celebrate three departing colleagues, we transformed unrelated pieces from their time at Mother Design into one cohesive farewell gift. Yihuang’s “MOTHER” wordmark and Venturi typeface, Kozue’s “Design” in Japanese, and Emily’s hand-drawn stars each came from different projects, yet together formed the long-sleeve design. None were created for the shirt—these were authentic artifacts from their time in the studio, making the gift both personal and unexpected.

Hotel Perra

Visual Identity, Naming
2023Visual identity for a bachelorette trip to Cancún, combining playful irreverence with retro resort glamour. The name draws on the cheeky, over-the-top spirit of bachelorette parties, while the design channels the vibrant aesthetic of 1980s Cancún resorts. Framed as the branding for a fictional hotel, the identity sets the stage for a weekend of unapologetic celebration and lighthearted debauchery.

Joining Mother is kinda different. So onboarding new hires had to reflect that. This indoctrination video was the first step in a day long program that included an audio walking tour and podcast that introduced MOTHER’S unique creative philosophies.

The design language draws from the uncanny overlap between corporate branding and cult aesthetics—balancing the polished professionalism of a white-collar office with the unsettling aura of esoteric, insular communities.
